Financial Planning Center
The Financial Planning Center provides personalized and practical financial coaching to University of Delaware students, faculty and staff at no cost. Our mission is to promote confident financial decision-making for UD students and employees, while providing experiential learning for the next generation of financial planners.
The center was established with support from Charles Schwab to be a resource to the university community.
For Students
Seniors in the financial planning major will meet with fellow students to help them with student loan repayment strategies and navigate job offer benefits such as purchasing insurance, investing in a 401(k), and other key financial decisions as students prepare for life after graduation.
For Employees
University employees will meet one-on-one with a senior in the financial planning major and a certified financial planner™ professional to discuss retirement planning, investments and tax planning. These sessions also serve as live learning labs for financial planning students, who will observe them to gain real-world experience.
