Biography
Gerard Pinto is an assistant professor in the department of finance at the University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics. He earned his Ph.D. in finance from the University of South Carolina. Dr. Pinto’s primary areas of research are IPOs, M&As and syndicated loans. His research has been presented at the annual Financial Management Association conference on multiple occasions. Dr. Pinto has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in investments, financial analysis, valuation and international finance. His professional experience includes working as an investment banker and an engineer.
