Biography

Biography

Karen McDougal is an instructor of accounting in the Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems at the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware. She joined the department as an instructor in 2021. She completed her Ph.D. in accounting at Temple University and previously taught at Temple University, St. Joseph’s University and Penn State University’s Brandywine campus.

Prior to joining academia, Karen worked in public accounting and private industry for over a decade at Laventhol & Horwath, CPA’s, Mitchell & Titus, CPA’s, J.P. Morgan, the Devereaux Foundation and Providian Corporation. Karen has published in the Journal of Business Case Studies. Her teaching interests are in the areas of financial and managerial accounting and forensic accounting.
