Maryam is an assistant professor of MIS in the Department of Accounting and Management Information Systems. Maryam received her Ph.D. in business analytics from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. Her research interests lie in the areas of information systems, business analytics, business communications and health informatics. In particular, her research focuses on designing multimodal models to study the impact of different modalities of data on business phenomena of interest, including crowdfunding, fintech and health IT.
