W. George Longbottom
Biography
Dr. George Longbottom comes to the University of Delaware with extensive teaching, academic advising and program management experience. He has worked closely with international, continuing education and MBA students on their academic goals, which he considers his professional passion.
Dr. Longbottom earned his Ph.D. in Spanish applied linguistics in 2019 along with an M.Ed. in higher education in 2023, both at Temple University. He published his first peer-reviewed article in the NACADA journal in June 2024 that centered on international student advising processes.
As the assistant dean of the SWUFE-UD partnership program, Dr. Longbottom aims to ensure all students get the most out of their education between SWUFE and UD and looks forward to working with them and the SWUFE and UD staff.
