Congratulations to the Class of 2021!

 

Congratulations to the University of Delaware’s Lerner College Class of 2021! In this video, 16 graduating students say “thank you” and acknowledge those who helped them along the path to this great achievement. The Lerner College is proud of these, and all of our new Class of 2021 Lifelong Lerners!

Erica Santos: I would like to say thank you to my professors and classmates as we’re learning and collaborating in and outside of the classroom. To my co-workers and managers for supporting me as I was working full time while pursuing my MBA. And to my parents and my fiancé for loving and encouraging me, the years as I completed my degree, thank you.

Samantha Finfer: Thank you professor McCloskey for introducing me to the trust management minor. Because of this program I found my desired career path and I can’t wait to get started. And thank you to professor Bao for making online class run so smoothly during a difficult time. I appreciate everything you did to help me during our class together. Thank you both and congratulations Class of 2021.

Wambui Kimani: I want to say thank you to the University of Delaware. I want to say thank you to the Lerner College. I want to say thank you to my family especially, friends, my co-workers, my support system. I want to say thank you to my great professors at UD, especially professor Chen, professor Junbo, and professor Smith. Thank you everybody at the University of Delaware for making this such a great experience. I am so proud to be a Blue Hen and I am proud to be a Lifelong Lerner.

Julia Moch: I just want to say a big thank you to my mom and dad. They came from Poland about 25 years ago and gave me the opportunity to be a first generation American and I could not have made it this far if they hadn’t pushed me to really get a college education and support the way they have so I really appreciate it. And a little shout out again to all my professors, my advisors and anyone that’s helped me get this far. I’m very excited about the future.

April Singleton: Thank you to all of my friends and new UD family from my four years at college especially Vince, Sefony, Tricia, Ted, Tatiana, Dan, so many names that I could list but thank you so much. Horn, I love you, you are great. Thank you to all the amazing professors and classmates that I have had over the years. It’s been a truly wonderful experience. Thank you.

Summer Kehl: Happy graduation Lerner class of 2021. I want to thank my parents mom, dad, Lindsey and Jordan for supporting me during my time here. The professors that I’ve taken here for always challenging me especially you Julia Bayuk for being a wonderful advisor, mentor, boss and professor and my friends who have definitely supported me along the way as well. Especially Jenna Whiting who I’ve taken classes with since BUAD 110 all the way until now in my senior capstones.

Hellen Seshie-Nasser: Hello, I want to say thank you to my professor Lucas and the committee members. I want to say thank you to Deborah and my fellow graduate students who are so good to me babysitting my son and also my husband and my mom, my dad and my brother. Thank you for supporting me throughout my journey at UD, thank you.

Shannon Yates: Thank you UD, the hospitality faculty like Donna Laws and Lerner professors like Ryan Sanders for helping me achieve my goals. Thank you to the world scholars program for helping me grow my passion for the hospitality industry and for allowing me to grow independently abroad.

Matthew Smith: I’d like to thank my mom, professor Jen McCloskey, coach Martin Ingelsby and the entire Delaware mens basketball program for making the past four years at Delaware so special. The friendships and memories I’ve made here will last me a lifetime and the University of Delaware will always be in my heart. Go Blue Hens!

Abigail Quinn: I would like to say thank you to all of my professors, family and fellow classmates for helping me throughout my time at UD. I would like to give a special shout-out to professor Jennifer McCloskey who is head of the trust management minor, Dr. Julianne Butler who was the advisor for the Blue Hen Economics club of which I was president, and my mentor in the trust management minor mentoring program, Sherry Dorsey. Thank you to all of these people for helping me throughout my time.

Meera Kripalu: I’d really like to thank my incredible parents for supporting me so much this past four years, my sister, my grandparents, all my friends and of course my professors, specifically professor Anuradha Sivaraman, Dee Muir
and from my fashion major, professor Shaffer, professor Kim and Dr. Sheng Lu. I’m so thankful for all their support and every other professor that I’ve had during my time at UD. I’m so, so grateful and I’m just so thankful that you all encouraged me to keep going along the way.

Jessica Gittleman: I’d like to thank my family for supporting me along the way and I’d also like to thank all the faculty members at Lerner for being such great mentors adapting to this new semester to make this year possible.

Emily Mowen: I want to give a huge thank you to all of the people listed here. You know who you are, you know what you did. I couldn’t thank you enough for all the motivation and encouragement to get me through UD for the last five years. I would not be where I am today without all of you guys. Thank you!

Jenna Whiting: I’d like to thank all my professors for all their help, guidance and support. I’d like to give a Special thank you to Carlos Asarta, George Tsakumis, Phil Pyle, Dustin Sleesman, Chris Lynch, Susan Murphy, Caroline Swift and Ming Zhao. I would also like to thank Sandy Fields and Julia Bayuk for being such great advisors. And finally thank you Brian Bile and my OM partner in crime Summer Kehl. I’m so thankful that I got to go through the past four years in Lerner with you.

Michelle Nash: I want to thank my parents, professors and friends for their constant support and encouragement over the past four years. I also want to give a special thank you to professor Murphy, professor Stocker and Dr. Field. I’m so grateful for the knowledge that you’ve given me and I know that I’m ready for my future career because of you. Thank you!
