Lola: Hi, my name is Lola Babalola and I am an honors sophomore, economics and theater studies double major with the voice minor. Welcome to life at Lerner.

Classroom

Lola: Hello. We are in econ 306, which is data analysis for business economics, a very fun class. And these are my econ girlies, so we always get together in class. Yeah.

Russel Dining Hall

Lola: Hello. I’m at lunch with my friend Rebecca. She’s also a business major.
Rebecca: And what’s everyone doing today? How’s everyone doing?
Lola: Yes.
Rebecca: Lovely. Monday morning.
Lola: We love going to Russell together, so.

Classroom

Lola: Yeah. Hi. Hello. We are in English 334, which is studies in environmental humanities, and we have a guest lecturer today which is really exciting. So, these are my friends get together. Yeah.

Dorm Room

Lola: I am all done with classes for today. And I’m back in my dorm room. So, I just held a tutoring session for some students in introduction to microeconomics. And it’s really fun being able to help out students with different classes. And now I’m going to take some time to relax before hopping on a networking call. Then I have a staff meeting for my peer mentor role. Then at the end of the day, I have a studio class for my voice minor.

Lola: Hi. So this is Holly. She’s an alum and we are chatting it up right now. And she was a marketing major at Lerner. And it’s always super fun connecting with alum and just getting to catch up.

Lola: Hello! We are at a staff meeting for Quest, which is a freshman leadership program that we are all peer mentors for. So, here’s our meeting.

Academy Street

Lola: Hi, it is Tuesday morning, and I am walking to Einstein Bagels, which is an on campus restaurant located inside of the ISE lab. I’m going to meet one of my best friends Leah so I will introduce you guys to her soon.

Lola: Hello. Hello, this is Leah. We love going to Einstein Bagels on Tuesday mornings together and just talking and catching up. So. Yeah.

Music Classroom

Lola: Hello. So, we are in choir now. It’s my friend Ava, and it’s really fun getting to take classes that aren’t for your major. So, choirs when my electives. Yay!

Bings Bake & Brew

Lola: Hello, so Jonathan and I just finished our music classes, so we popped over to Bing’s Bake & Brew on Amstel Avenue, which is right next to Purnell and the Alfred Lerner College. So, if you ever finished a music class or a business class, this is the best place to come.
Jonathan: You know where to go.

Classroom

Lola: On campus, I’m a PASS leader for Introduction to Macroeconomics, otherwise known as econ 103. PASS stands for Peer Assisted Study Sessions, and during these sessions, I just get to help students with historically challenging courses. And my course is economics, which is my major. So session is about to start and I’m really excited to help these students.

Lola: Hello, hello. Hope you guys remember Ava from the choir. We are at Chipotle right now. It’s Wednesday and we are having lunch and just yapping and catching up.

Lola: After lunch with Ava, I came back to my room to take a little bit of a break, and now I’m going to do some homework for my intermediate microeconomic theory with calculus class.

Lola: Right now, I’m walking to the Geltzeiler Trading Lab in Purnell for a sector meeting. So, I’m an analyst in the Blue Hen Investment Club, and I’m in the energy and utility sector. And once a week as a sector, we get together and just discuss trends in the industry or upcoming pitches. And I really love my sector and I’m excited to introduce you to them. So, yeah.

Gabby: I’m Gabby.
Lola: These are my friends from performance for life. So, we just finished class and now I am walking to intermediate microeconomics theory with calculus. Where are you guys headed?

Gabby: I’m going to eat lunch in CR.
Lola: Yes. So fun. So, we love walking together from class. Like our little performance for life class. We are bonded forever.

Lola: Okay, so now I’m on my way to the meeting for the Blue Hen Investment Club. And our dress code is normally business professional or business casual. So super excited to introduce you to some people and the meetings are always really fun. We have guest speakers. We have stock pitches. So excited to show you.

Lola: Hi. So, right now we’re at the investment club meeting. So, I showed you some friends in the club.
Student: It’s going to be a long one.
Lola: Definitely. We have a guest speaker today and the technology sector is doing a pitch. So yeah we’re really excited. Hello this is Ayanna. She is the consumer staples sector head and chairman of the social media committee, which I am a member of. Just want to introduce you guys to her.

Lola: Right now I’m making some slides for my next session of PASS tutoring for Introduction to Macroeconomics.

Lola: Hello. So, it’s Friday. We are at the Quest follow up. Super exciting getting all the freshmen back together and doing some fun events.

Lola: Today is Sunday, so I am currently pledging Lerner’s official coed business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and today we have our Fall Festival at Millburn Orchard. So I’m getting ready to go.
