David has perfect attendance and contributes in class discussions, he is a pleasure to teach and have in class.”
In this profile, Undus shares his favorite UD memories, how he has changed during his time at UD and his plans following graduation.
Lerner: How do you think you have changed from your first semester at UD to now?
Undus: I’ve become a much more dedicated student through my studies and connecting with peers and professors. I’ve learned a lot that I will take into my life.
Lerner: What have been some of the challenges you have faced during your college experience and how did you overcome them?
Undus: I had to learn how to adapt to the college environment, and the challenges that come with that. Socially I found it challenging to adapt, but I’ve come a long way since freshman year. A major part of my problem was finding the right group of people.
Lerner: What was your favorite signature UD experience and why?
Undus: I became vice president of the economics club and I really enjoyed that. I think it was a great way to meet a lot of different people around the University.
Lerner: Did you have a Lerner professor or staff member that had a big impact on your UD experience?
Undus: Several Lerner staff had a major impact on me including Howland Redding, Kathryn Bender, and several other finance and economics staff. They’ve given me great opportunities that really made my undergraduate experience better.
Lerner: What does being a “Lifelong Lerner” mean to you?
Undus: I think it demonstrates my commitment to my studies here at UD. I plan to continue this approach throughout my life.
Lerner: What advice would you give to incoming freshmen to make the most out of their college experience?
Undus: Be open with trying to meet new people. There are many different groups on campus and sometimes you need to seek them out.
Lerner: What are your plans following graduation?
Undus: I plan to continue working as an economic analyst at Prudential Financial. Long-term, I want to try to get into the Federal Reserve and work in monetary policy.
