Celebrating Excellence in Accounting

Purnell Hall

The University of Delaware’s Department of Accounting and MIS is celebrating a strong fall semester marked by exceptional student achievements, engaged alumni, faculty excellence and vibrant student organizations. Four rising seniors—Redwanul Bari, Jenna Troyer, Owen Smith and Emma Dolgin—were honored with the Jeffrey Heimann Memorial Award for their outstanding academic performance and impressive professional experience.

Alumni also returned to campus this fall, including Greg Doyle, BE96, and his EY colleagues, who energized sophomores during Accounting 201’s Spotlight on Assurance, and a distinguished group of alumni who joined Professor Amanda Convery for a CPA panel highlighting the long-term value of CPA licensure and the impact of the CPA stUDy Program.

Faculty were recognized for excellence in teaching, service and research, and student organizations such as NABA and the Accounting Students Association continued providing mentorship, outreach and career development opportunities.
