NABA: Advancing Accounting Leaders

UD NABA student association

University of Delaware’s chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, open to all Lerner students and advised by Professor Karen McDougal, has had a busy year – both at UD and afar.

NABA members shared their experiences in the Lerner College of Business and Economics with high school students at Wilmington’s Concord High. They provided study and time management tips, suggestions on how to get ready for college and how to build relationships with faculty.

In October, members attended the NABA Link Eastern Regional Conference at Howard University. Conference sessions covered career acceleration, leadership development, generative AI, and the empowerment of men and women in the field.

In the spring, NABA members visited EY in New York City. In addition to learning about the audit profession, they were able to catch up with UD alumni Eleni Athanasiou, Zachary Russo, Gabriella Cammarata, and Alexa Fitz. Thanks to EY for sponsoring this trip!
