UD’s Vita Nova Restaurant Featured in Delaware Today

Vita Nova chef Alison Rainis

Delaware Today recently posted an article highlighting Vita Nova Restaurant, part of the Department of Hospitality and Sport Business Management in the University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics.

The student-run restaurant located on the second floor of the Trabant Center features a fine dining experience that is open to the public.

“We teach our students the highest level because we want them to walk into any situation with confidence,” said Lacey Leatherwood, the restaurant’s manager and a program alum. “We want them to manage any kitchen or dining room with thoughtfulness and intention. By practicing fine dining, they can take the tools and mindset we’ve shared with them to any area of the industry.”
