2026 Lerner College Faculty Promotions Announced

The University of Delaware Board of Trustees approved the promotions of 88 faculty members at its semiannual meeting on May 11, including eight promotions for Lerner College faculty. All the appointments, unless noted, are effective Sept. 1, 2026.

Promoted to the rank of professor, who had already been granted tenure:
Matthias Fleckenstein, finance
Gang Wang, accounting and management information systems

Promoted to the rank of associate professor, with tenure:
Andong Cheng, business administration
Beth Schinoff, business administration
Jiaheng Xie, accounting and management information systems
Tom Eisenberg, economics

Promoted to the rank of associate professor, without tenure:
Nathan Bragaw, business administration
Kurt Norder, business administration

Faculty that received emeritus status, as of April 1
John Sawyer, professor emeritus of business administration
Ali Poorani, professor emeritus of hospitality and sports business management
