2025 Lerner College Faculty Promotions Announced

The University of Delaware Board of Trustees approved the promotions of 87 faculty members at its semiannual meeting on May 13, including nine promotions for Lerner College faculty.

All promotions are effective Sept. 1, 2025

Promoted to the rank of professor who had already been granted tenure:
Michal Herzenstein, business administration
Joanne Jung-Eun Yoo, hospitality and sport business management

Promoted to the rank of associate professor, with tenure:
Hans Holter, economics

Promoted to the rank of associate professor, without tenure:
Elizabeth Bayley, economics
Katherine Bender, economics
Hanieh Javadi Khasraghi, accounting and management information systems
Daniel Lee, business administration
Anu Sivaraman, business administration
Suresh Sundaram, business administration

Faculty who received emeritus status
David Black, associate professor of emeritus of economics
James Butkiewicz, professor emeritus of economics
Evangelos Falaris, professor emeritus of economics
